A6 Closure - New Re-Opening Update!
Cllr Oliver Johnstone has been informed that Stockport Council are looking to re-open the A6 at Wellington Road bridge on 15th October 2017.
Whilst the news that the bridge will be re-opened soon is welcome, the length of time and delays have caused frustration to residents and commuters.
Cllr Johnstone said, "We always knew this would be a big job and that it would cause inconvenience to residents and commuters but yet again the Council has been unable to stick to its committed deadline on a project of this nature. I am pleased that the Council has pledged to review why these delays were necessary and I have requested a report to come to the next meeting of the Economy & Regeneration Committee."
