Hazel Grove Councillor, Oliver Johnstone, raised a number of concerns and issues on behalf of residents at the latest briefing session for Stockport and Cheshire East councillors at the A6 MARR site offices in Woodford.
Amongst the issues raised were:
1. Congestion at the Fiveways junction caused by temporary lights on Macclesfield Road.
2. Lack of signage and awareness for cyclists at the new section of A6 on Buxton Road.
Cllr Johnstone said, " As we are hopefully into the final year of this project, it is more important than ever to get residents' voices heard. At the Fiveways,we will have a permanent junction only metres away which I campaigned against. We need to get the solutions in place before the new road opens, not after."
