Local campaigner, Pat Bentley, is calling on Stockport Council to tackle congestion and gridlock in Bredbury Green and Romiley, which is causing chaos for local people.
Pat wants Stockport Council to make tackling local congestion a priority by putting the case to Government for an A6-M60 Bypass. A coalition of Labour and Liberal Democrat Councillors blocked our most recent attempt to deliver this vital relief road.
Pat said,
Local people in Bredbury Green and Romiley are sick to death of the gridlock and congestion stifling our local community and village centre. We pay the highest Council Tax in Greater Manchester yet our Council is unwilling to take the bold action needed to sort this mess out." On Thursday 17th October, use your vote to elect Pat Bentley - a local champion who will make tackling congestion her top priority.
