1) More money for district centres
Securing levelling up investment for our district centres, following on from William Wragg MP's success with Marple Leisure Hub.
2) Improving local transport
Reducing congestion by securing the A6-M60 bypass and improved bus and rail services.
3) Better access to health care
In addition to the £30 million A&E upgrade at Stepping Hill hospital, we will work to improve GP access and cut waiting times.
4) Affordable homes
Making use of brownfield sites and conversion of unused retail and office space to provide much needed affordable housing.
5) Tackling crime and antisocial behaviour
Focused local use of GMP's 1,280 extra police officers to reduce robberies, car theft, and anti- social behaviour.
6) Protecting our environment
Our green space is important. We will work to preserve it and to reduce air and water pollution.
