The AGM of Marple Neighbourhood Forum
Saturday 30th September
commencing at 10 a.m.
at the United Reformed Church on Hibbert Lane
Phil Jones, the author of the Traffic and Street Design Report commissioned by the Marple Vision Partnership, will be the keynote speaker. They have had a lot of feedback about traffic and street design and how we make Marple accessible to pedestrians, cyclists and vehicles. This will be a real opportunity to hear about some very important ideas and contribute to the debate about what we should include in the Neighbourhood Plan.
The forum will also be inviting additional members to join themanagement team or support them with particular expertise. One area where they would like extra help is archiving and record keeping. This can be done from home and need not involve membership of the Committee. For those who want to be on the Committee see form at end of newsletter attached below, which can be sent to the secretary Russell Haynes at [email protected] or brought along on the day. The forum are keen to have people who bring some new expertise to the team, and in particular any local retail or business owners would be very welcome, especially with Town Centre regeneration in mind.
Also look out for the forum stall during the Food Festival and later in the autumn in Market Street.
