Cllr Oliver Johnstone & volunteers from Friends of Torkington Park organised a litter pick to clean up Hazel Grove Memorial Park in preparation for Remembrance Sunday. The litter pick took place on Sunday 5th November and left the park looking much cleaner and tidier.
Cllr Johnstone said, "A big thank you goes to Richard & Gill from Friends of Torkington Park who have come to help me today. It is a real shame that we have managed to almost fill 3 bin liners full of rubbish from such a small park. At least the park will now be spick and span for Remembrance Sunday!"
If you know of any areas of Hazel Grove that could use a bit of a tidy up, let Oliver know by emailing him on [email protected] or call him on 07445927593.
